Circles for Squares: Wave Goodbye
Joy / Quilana says:
I was so busy all of last year trying to sort out my life. Trying to figure out what to do with it. He was there through all of it, but I took it for granted. I thought he’d be there to see me get married and give him many fat grandchildren. I thought he’d always have my back, always be on my side, always be there for me to talk to.
But then God took him away.
A very emotional account from Joy, who lost her father…Oh my heartstrings, they hurt when I read that.

piffles inc. - photo album: piffles inc. - my love behind it all.
piffles says:
my monkey. coming up with a template is not easy. my friend insisted i make a monkey card and after one week of battling it with him, with me insisting that, “i only make sheep cards, not monkey!” – he refused to budge at all. i had to sit for hours sketching it up and finally ….. i love my monkey design. =)

Mmhmm, this girl has some nice greeting cards she made herself.

Wordpress Ajax Comments
Kew says:
Finally, my blog is ajaxified and all this is made possible with the help of Safirul of zeo.unic.net.my. I was initially intrigued with the commenting system at K2 and Squible where a nice animatic effect of the comment appears right after you click on the post button. It was Ajax and I wanted it on my blog. But I don’t want Squible nor K2
The thing that I am most proud off is that Safirul is from Malaysia and in Malaysia Boleh Spirit, have ventured and created this Ajax.

Mid Valley: What the shit?

gbyeow says:
Just out of curiousity, we took a look at the place where we were parked last week. That’s when WL pointed to the floor and told me something that made my stomach turn.
WL: Yo! Look at the floor. Its the sewage water coming out!
Me: [looking at the wet floor] Ew! Leaking isit? [Me looking at the ceiling to see if there was a leak overhead]
WL: Down there la. Bubbling out of the floor! Fast fast move your car somewhere else.
Poo leaks through the ceilings in the basement carparks of Mid Valley Megamall. Check this out.

Living My Dreams: The Malay Agenda - Boon or Bane?
Stingray says:
But trying to change the “Ketuanan Melayu” concept to an economic one – where economic wealth correlates to the racial demographics, giving the Malays a 70% dominant share – is living in a fantasy world, that ignores current realities.
It’s social reengineering that is suicidal and unthinkable, in this competitive age of globalization. It’s a dangerous ideal, formed by those with blinkers. It’s a gamble of “menang sorak, kampung tergadai”.
Stingray discusses the Malay agenda and NEP.

The Hiking Path Meant For One: Fruits of Grace
Chin Hor says:
My dad and his wife are both very blessed too. Dad didn’t marry a psycho lady who was not understanding and possesive, the kind who’d tear families apart. His wife however, has never been ostracized whenever she’s met us or the times she’s met extended family; especially during Chinese New Year recently. My mum even goes out of her way to make her feel at home and involved in conversations.
Chin Hor writes about his experience, coming to terms, through God, with accepting his extended family. Grace is a good thing :)

The Waiting Room: Trust and Obey
DB says:
We had an event planned with the kids from Rumah Hope at a park so we could play some games and let them run around a bit. When we got up though it was raining and it stayed that way until we got there. We started calling each other to see what alternatives we could put in place but there were not many at late notice.

Asides from the clown, because I’d never put a clown in front of children I find them creepy, I think it’s wonderful what they did for the kids at Rumah Hope.

Plugging Your Own Posts on BlogsMalaysia: What's Your Opinion?
Alynna says:
I don’t know. Is it right to think what you have written is notable and to plug it in a site like Blogs Malaysia?
Is there really any difference to plugging your own post on BlogsMalaysia and going to any other blog in the blogosphere and leaving messages to visit your blog? Or, I daresay, pinging your blog on Petaling Street?
A question for BlogMalaysia.

When will Malaysia improve its Internet infrastructure?
Cowboy Caleb says:
Now that I’m living in Malaysia again, the joy of having to put up with bizarre and innane business procedures becomes once again part and parcel of my life.
If you’re reading this, you probably know how important the Internet is as a business AND social tool. Here is another story of Malaysia’s silly backwardness. Hopefully with more awareness this will bring change. Someday.

Signs and Tags 2
simply ROBIN says:
We usually see signs telling the vehicles on the road to slow down because of schools or hospital nearby with mindless kids and possibly old folks crossing the vultures infested road of incredibly fast speeding vehicles. We could not want our precious car to hit and possibly take a life of another, especially the innocent one.
screw the evil onesBut but but, who would give a damn about the ducks? And believe it or not, people here do slow down their cars and wait patiently for the ducks to cross the road !! What the…
I just love to make fun of the signs and tags everywhere, and you can find rather interesting ones here in Perth.
