Nadiah Wan says:

This morning i opened the newspapers to find that Najib Tun Razak has condemned employers that specifcy mandarin as a requirement for certain jobs as “discrimininatory”. My immediate reaction was “WHAT??!!”

An article from a Harvard Malaysian who highlights that a ‘Mandarin-speaking preferred’ policy employed by some firms in Malaysia should not necessarily be misconstrued as one of racist nature.

I have’t been reading the newspapers. Can anyone point me to this news article if it’s online please?

Racist ah?! Eh, don’t like, leave Malaysia lah!!

Remember, if mention language requirements, if you specify “Must speak English”, you are also racist.
